1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using the ReelGuard web tool ("the Service"), you confirm your agreement to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms in full, you must not use or access ReelGuard.

2. Description of Service & Local Execution

ReelGuard provides a client-side visual inspection workspace designed for video editors, content creators, and social media marketing teams. The Service allows users to load media files locally in their web browser, test social platform aspect ratio crops (such as 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 16:9), reposition crop coordinates, inspect platform UI overlays (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts), toggle composition grids, and export PNG preview mockups.

The Service operates entirely client-side using browser-native APIs. ReelGuard does not provide hosting, video distribution, publishing, or social account connection features.

3. Overlay Accuracy Disclaimer & User Responsibility

Please read this section carefully before relying on ReelGuard for commercial or public content production:

• Publicly Observable UI Models: ReelGuard's overlay guidelines are modeled upon publicly observable native mobile app layouts of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube at the time of development.
• Third-Party UI Volatility: Social media applications continually conduct A/B testing, alter safe area insets on varying device aspect ratios (e.g. notched smartphones, tablets, foldable displays), and redesign their button rails, sound tags, and caption line heights without notice.
• No Liability for Cropped Content: ReelGuard is explicitly not responsible or liable for any cropped, obscured, cutoff, or misrepresented video or graphics that occur upon uploading to TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or any other third-party platform.
• Mandatory Real-Device Verification: You agree that ReelGuard serves strictly as a preliminary drafting and planning aid, and that comprehensive pre-flight verification via platform draft or private upload mechanisms is exclusively your responsibility.

4. Third-Party Trademarks & Non-Affiliation

"TikTok" is a registered trademark of ByteDance Ltd. "Instagram" and "Reels" are registered trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc. "YouTube" and "Shorts" are registered trademarks of Google LLC.

ReelGuard is an independent web application and is not affiliated with, associated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with ByteDance, Meta Platforms, Google, or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. All brand names, trade names, and logos are used solely for descriptive identification purposes under nominative fair use.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use ReelGuard solely for legitimate, lawful purposes. You shall not:

• Attempt to disrupt, tamper with, or compromise the stability of the website hosting or infrastructure;
• Inject malicious code, viruses, or cross-site scripting payloads into any input field;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or frame the service without written permission;
• Use automated scrapers, spiders, or denial-of-service tools against our servers.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, REELGUARD AND ALL ASSOCIATED CONTENT AND FUNCTIONALITY ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL OPERATE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, NOR DO WE WARRANT THAT SAFE-ZONE COORDINATES WILL REMAIN ACCURATE ON EVERY DEVICE OR PLATFORM VERSION.

7. Limitation of Liability

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL REELGUARD, ITS CREATORS, OPERATORS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT, AD SPEND LOSSES, OR PRODUCTION COSTS) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of ReelGuard following any changes signifies your acceptance of the updated Terms. We advise you to review this page periodically.
